On October 10-11, 2025, the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of the Kazakhstan, Akhmet Baitursynuly Institute of Linguistics of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, International Turkic Academy and the International Society «Qazaq tili» will jointly hold a Turkological Congress on the theme: «CURRENT ISSUES IN LINGUISTICS, PHILOLOGY, AND TURKOLOGY IN THE ERA OF GLOBALIZATION», dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the eminent scholar, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Shora Shamgaliyevich Sarybaev.
Within the framework of the Congress, discussions will focus on new scientific paradigms in Kazakh linguistics, philology, and Turkology, related to the scholarly legacy of Academician Shora Shamgaliyevich Sarybaev. The event will bring together public figures, national and international researchers in the fields of Kazakh linguistics, Turkology, philology, and general linguistics, as well as writers and media representatives.

• Scientific legacy of Academician Shora Sarybaev
• Current issues in Kazakh dialectology
• Dialectology of Turkic languages: comparative-historical and areal studies
• Altaic and Turkological studies: historical-genetic connections and comparative research
• History of the Kazakh language
• Functional grammar of the Kazakh language
• Kazakh lexicology and lexicography: history, challenges, and new aspects of research
• Linguistic research within the anthropocentric paradigm: cognitive linguistics, ethnolinguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics
• Current issues in terminology: findings and new approaches
• Corpus linguistics and the experience of developing and using the National Corpus of the Kazakh Language
• Linguistics within the educational system: curricula, textbooks, and methodological innovations
