Chairman of the Senate Maulen Ashimbayev took part in a round table discussion on the legal implementation of the "Science and Technology Policy" held in Almaty. The participants discussed amendments to national legislation, the development of science, the introduction of innovations, and strengthening the country's competitiveness.

Maulen Ashimbayev noted that important reforms are being implemented on the initiative of the Head of State to support scientists. Funding for science has increased threefold over the past four years. The Speaker emphasized that science must work in tandem with the economy and society to deliver tangible results.

The meeting highlighted the importance of fields such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, ecology, agricultural science, and alternative energy. The Senate will thoroughly consider the proposals made by the scientists in its upcoming legislative work.
