Foresight of Science and Industry
On April 14, Satbayev University, with the participation of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, hosted the opening of scientific and technological foresight sessions and hackathons, which have become a significant platform for uniting science, industry, and innovation.
This is not just a series of expert meetings, but an important step toward the formation of a new model of interaction in which scientific thought directly responds to the needs of the real sector of the economy. Leading scientists, experts, representatives of business, industry, and the technology community gathered at one venue to jointly seek solutions that can shape the future of Kazakhstan's key industries.
The event was held in line with the strategic objectives outlined by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who declared 2026 the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence. Its content focused on accelerated digital transformation of the economy, the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence technologies in key sectors, the development of sustainable digital infrastructure, and improving the quality of public services.
Elena Valerievna Shevchenko, Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, attended the event, emphasizing its high status and importance for strengthening interaction between science and the real sector.
The discussion focused on digital transformation, artificial intelligence, the development of high-tech areas, training a new generation of personnel, and the creation of competitive solutions that address modern economic and technological challenges.
It is precisely such initiatives that become a growth point for a strong scientific and innovation ecosystem in Kazakhstan, opening up new opportunities for technological breakthroughs, developing human capital, and strengthening the country's competitiveness.
